TEST SOILS

HTM2030 and EN15883 Guidelines recommend the use of different Test Soils for:

Endoscope Washer-Disinfectors:

Detergent efficacy should be tested weekly using Edinburgh Soil 17.34. Medipure Ireland Ltd also supplies surrogate devices and connectors to allow channel testing. A residual protein detection test carried out in our laboratory and a report issued to the customers are included in the price.

Surgical Instrument Washer-Disinfectors:

Soil removal efficacy is tested using Edinburgh Soil 14.12. The soil is spread over the instruments including holloware, glassware, surgical instruments and surgical instrument trays. Then a full cycle is performed and no residual soil should be left.

Cleaning efficacy tests are used to demonstrate the ability of the WD to remove or reduce to acceptable levels, soiling and contamination which occurs during normal use of re-usable items.

Bed Pans/Urinals:

Soils specially formulated to ensure that the cleaning process of bed pans/urinals Edinburgh Soil 13.29/13.36 is carried out correctly.

Manufacturing Test Soils at our facilities leads to a reduction in shipping costs for our Irish customers.
